About The Position

The Clinical Respiratory Partner is a licensed clinician responsible for growing the high acuity respiratory patient base and associated device sales. This role involves working closely with the Healthcare Partner to build relationships with referral sources to generate steady referrals that meet sales growth goals and expectations. The Clinical Respiratory Partner ensures continuity between the community physician practice or post-acute setting and the home setting to maximize patient satisfaction of home care services. The position also focuses on improving awareness and providing education to healthcare professionals, physicians, and patients regarding current home care options and capabilities, as well as coordinating referrals and documentation to ensure timely admission and appropriate patient care based on doctor’s referrals.

Requirements

  • Associates degree from an AMA approved respiratory program.
  • Valid and unrestricted RT clinical license in all states serviced by the branch, or an Associate degree in Nursing with a valid and unrestricted RN clinical license.
  • Must be CPR certified.
  • Valid and unrestricted driver’s license in the state of residence.
  • Three (3) years of clinical experience as a Health Care RT, HME RT, or clinical nursing with Vent experience for Clinical Respiratory Partner.
  • Five (5) years of clinical experience for Senior Clinical Respiratory Partner.
  • Eight (8) years of clinical experience for Primary Clinical Respiratory Partner.

Responsibilities

  • Identifies, contacts, and builds relationships with referral sources.
  • Maintains ongoing business with referral sources in the medical community.
  • Conducts sales calls in the field to maintain contact with referral sources regarding AdaptHealth’s products and services.
  • Works with Sales Leadership to validate and develop territory call plans to grow business.
  • Builds long-term, trusting relationships with referral sources.
  • Evaluates interrelationship of referral source, medical team, and reimbursement concerns.
  • Promotes products and services provided to all healthcare professionals.
  • Educates referral sources on product guidelines, documentation, and the use of products and services.
  • Collaborates with intake, customer service, and document collection to help process orders and drive sales growth.
  • Communicates and explains Medicare and private insurance procedures, pricing information, and product information to referral sources.
  • Generates a steady stream of referrals to meet sales growth goals for this position and territory.
  • Creates, executes, and manages a territory call plan.
  • Increases referral volume from assigned accounts through regular solicitation of referral orders.
  • Works with the Intake team to obtain complete referral information and medical documentation.
  • Accepts referrals based on knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid, and private insurance reimbursement guidelines.
  • Suggests alternative equipment based on reimbursement limitations.
  • Acts as a resource to external customers to facilitate resolution of patient issues.
  • Participates in obtaining MD orders/signatures for appropriate documentation.
  • Promotes ePrescribe platforms for streamlined referral and documentation processes.
  • Conducts sales & service rounds in assigned facilities.
  • Identifies programs or initiatives that could increase company revenues or patient satisfaction.
  • Retains knowledge of and adheres to procedures for the use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
  • Shares information and expertise with peers.
  • Completes Boot Camp Sales Training courses and assigned compliance training.
  • Develops and maintains working knowledge of services, products, insurance guidelines, and reimbursement.
  • Maintains compliance with AdaptHealth’s Compliance Program.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.
