JOB PURPOSE : The Clinical Resource Surgical Technician helps to facilitate quality patient care by assisting the surgeon and staff before, during, and after surgery. Serves as a clinical specialist for designated service line, and is responsible for ensuring appropriate resources (supplies, instrumentation, vendor resources, etc.) are available for each case. Will also serve as a liaison between surgeon and other parties as appropriate to secure resources in advance of surgery. Maintains surgeon preference cards and assists with onboarding activities for new surgeons

Requirements

High school diploma or GED required.
Four (4) years of experience working as a Surgical Technician in an acute-care setting.
BLS certification is required.

Nice To Haves

Associates or higher degree preferred.
Graduate of a Surgical Technician program is preferred.
Surgical Technician certification is preferred.
