About The Position

The Clinical Research Specialist I plays a crucial role in providing clinical research expertise by participating in the design and implementation of research projects. This position is responsible for coordinating research projects, ensuring compliance with federal and local regulations, and maintaining high standards of research quality. The role involves collaboration with leadership to communicate project status and improvement areas, as well as implementing department-wide initiatives related to research quality management and clinical trial recruitment.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree required.
  • Three (3) years minimum experience in area of research specialty.

Responsibilities

  • Participate in the design and implementation of research projects as needed.
  • Coordinate research projects at an institutional or departmental level.
  • Communicate project status and improvement areas with leadership in a timely manner.
  • Assist in establishing processes and procedures for Quality Assurance (QA) and Quality Control (QC) functions.
  • Conduct routine and for-cause quality assurance audits or oversee audits of cancer clinical trials.
  • Establish effective documentation of audit and monitoring procedures for staff.
  • Assist with orientation and training for staff and research faculty related to research quality measures.
  • Identify and report areas of concern or gaps through routine reviews and develop process improvements.
  • Lead training seminars and organize webinars to improve quality.
  • Generate and maintain quality management records, trackers, and reports.
  • Schedule audits, prepare documents, and oversee logistics for audits.
  • Communicate critical compliance risks to senior management.
