About The Position

Under limited supervision, the Clinical Research Nurse is responsible for actively facilitating clinical research by administering and monitoring treatment or research protocols. This role involves coordinating and participating in clinical research studies conducted by a principal investigator, as well as engaging in a variety of complex activities related to the recruitment, collection, compilation, documentation, and analysis of clinical research data. The nurse also assists in establishing guidelines for clinical data collection and study administration. This position may include leadership responsibilities, such as leading or mentoring lower-level team members.

Responsibilities

  • Actively facilitate clinical research by administering and monitoring treatment or research protocols
  • Coordinate and participate in clinical research studies conducted by principal investigator
  • Coordinate and participate in a variety of complex activities involved in the recruitment, collection, compilation, documentation and analysis of clinical research data
  • Assist in the determination of guidelines for the collection of clinical data and/or administration of clinical studies
  • May lead or mentor lower level team members
