About The Position

Piper Companies is seeking a Clinical Research Nurse to join a trusted leader advancing the future of medicine for a full-time, onsite position located in Ames, Iowa. The Clinical Research Nurse will independently manage and perform clinical trial procedures, ensuring protocol compliance, participant safety, and accurate data collection in a fast-paced research environment.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Nursing or related field.
LPN required; RN preferred.
Prior experience in clinical research is strongly preferred.
Solid understanding of Good Clinical Practice (GCP) and regulatory standards.
Infusion therapy experience required.

Responsibilities

Coordinate and conduct clinical trial procedures in alignment with study protocols and physician orders.
Perform clinical tasks such as venipuncture, specimen processing, vital signs, ECGs, IV infusions, Holter monitoring, pulmonary function testing, allergy testing, pregnancy testing, strep screening, and injections (IM or SQ).
Accurately document patient data in source documents and electronic systems.
Assist with patient recruitment, screening, and enrollment efforts.
Provide nursing care and support to trial participants throughout the study.
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure compliance and high-quality data collection.
