About The Position

We are seeking a Clinical Research Coordinator to join the Immigrant Health & Cancer Disparities (IHCD) Service. For more than 20 years, the IHCD Service has worked to identify and eliminate disparities in treatment among immigrants and underrepresented groups. The IHCD Service offers a wide range of programs for patients, healthcare professionals, and patient advocates. We use a multidisciplinary approach to address gaps in healthcare at the local, national, and global levels. Our community-based programs provide a gateway to health education and services for immigrants and other medically underserved populations in New York City and beyond! This position involves working on research studies aiming to address adult and childhood obesity among Hispanic/Latino families. Are you fluent in Spanish and passionate about community health? Requirements

  • Fluency in written and spoken Spanish is required (a language assessment will be part of the interview process)
  • A genuine interest in working in health disparities research
  • Decision-making: Proven ability to make timely, effective decisions that support organizational progress.
  • Accountability: Strong sense of personal responsibility, with the ability to hold yourself and others accountable to achieve results.
  • Communication: Skilled in tailoring messages to different audiences and communicating with clarity and purpose.
  • Adaptability: Flexible in approach and demeanor, able to adjust to shifting priorities and evolving circumstances.
  • Data proficiency: Comfortable working with or eager to learn how to manage and organize large amounts of data.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in the healthcare setting or a community engagement role is preferred
  • Experience in research projects involving recruitment of participants and/or delivering an intervention is preferred
  • Experience using data entry tools like REDCap is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Assist with participant management and data management on research/clinical studies, and will be responsible for delivering healthy lifestyle interventions for Hispanic community members, as well as other study-related activities, including survey administration
  • Responsible for data collection, entry, and analysis, and ensuring data quality and integrity throughout the life of the study
  • Obtain informed consent and administer assessment batteries
  • Generate data reports and deliver to all vital parties on the progress
  • Ensure that all appropriate Institutional, State, and Federal regulations are followed, and that research protocols are approved by the Institutional Review Board and all regulatory documentation is completed
