There are still lots of open positions. Let's find the one that's right for you.
The Shih Lab is seeking an ambitious Clinical Research Coordinator (CRC) to join our team. As a member of a multidisciplinary research group in the Department of Radiation Oncology, the CRC will be bridging the gap between the current standard of care and future treatment modalities. We are located at MGH’s Main Campus in Boston, MA. Ongoing investigations are predominantly preclinical studies in animal models, namely rodents. The main project of responsibility tests a novel approach to neuromodulating the brain circuitry implicated in substance use disorders. Radiation therapy offers a non-invasive method to target specific areas of the brain exhibiting abnormal activity, and has been effectively used to treat depression, Parkinson’s Disease, and other conditions. The CRC will be intimately involved in leading this project with care and oversight of drug-dependent rats. Histologic based imaging at the bench, data processing of PET/CT imaging. Given the nature of this experiment, regular weekend work is required. We estimate that working on this project will comprise a significant portion of your time, but there are also many other opportunities for growth as a CRC. They include classic CRC duties, such as IRB management, consenting patients, and coordination of study visits. Based on CRC interests, there are optional opportunities to assist or lead retrospective clinical studies, present work at conferences, and lead writing of manuscripts. This position is ideally suited for someone that is motivated to explore various types of research and will take advantage of the resources available to them. A strong desire to learn new skills, willingness to be a team player, and ability to work independently make an ideal fit for this position.
