The coordinator will work closely with a multidisciplinary team, including clinical research coordinators, study nurses, and nurse practitioners, to ensure the successful execution of clinical trials. The responsibilities include adhering to IRB-approved protocols, participating in the informed consent process, and ensuring the safety of clinical research participants. The coordinator will also be responsible for coordinating protocol-related research procedures, study visits, and follow-up care, as well as screening, recruiting, and enrolling patients. Maintaining study source documents, reporting adverse events, and understanding good clinical practice (GCP) and regulatory compliance are essential aspects of the role. The coordinator will also educate subjects and their families about the study protocol and intervention, ensuring compliance with institutional policies and federal regulations. In addition to core responsibilities, the coordinator will prepare and manage essential regulatory documents, register studies on ClinicalTrial.gov, and facilitate various study-related activities, including pre-study and monitoring visits. The role may also involve managing study finances, developing advertisement materials, and providing training to junior staff.
