About The Position

The Clinical Research Coordinator (CRC) will join the cardiology research team at MedStar Health Research Institute, responsible for coordinating clinical research activities across all phases and complexities. The role requires independent functioning with minimal oversight, ensuring compliance with regulatory submissions, informed consent processes, and participant safety. The CRC will also support less experienced staff and contribute to recruitment and retention strategies for research participants.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or an allied health or related professional degree with equivalent work experience.
• 3-4 years of experience as a clinical research coordinator or in a related field.
• Demonstrated aptitude for research facilitation.

Nice To Haves

• Experience in cardiology research.
• Familiarity with Clinical Trial Management Systems (CTMS).

Responsibilities

• Oversees, prepares, submits, and maintains all regulatory submissions accurately and timely.
• Self-audits records to ensure audit-readiness and appropriate delegation of study-related tasks.
• Manages the informed consent process, ensuring participants understand study participation.
• Attends investigator meetings and assists in communicating study requirements to the team.
• Monitors and reports adverse events to ensure participant safety.
• Generates and recommends improvements for recruitment and retention programs.
