About The Position

The Clinical Research Coordinator A (CRC A) primarily organizes, coordinates, and implements community outreach and clinical research studies for the University of Pennsylvania’s Center for Resuscitation Science (CRS). The CRS focuses on clinical research and training related to cardiac arrest and resuscitation care to improve survival from sudden cardiac arrest. The CRC A's main responsibility is to implement the community outreach programs of the Mobile CPR Project and the CRS. Additionally, the CRC A will collaborate with CRS Directors to identify and develop clinical research programs aimed at improving bystander CPR rates and survival. This role involves overseeing tasks to ensure studies are conducted safely and according to protocol, managing the IRB process, implementing projects, assisting leadership with grant submissions, ensuring studies meet targets, and participating in research meetings. The CRC A is also responsible for coordinating study volunteers. This position is contingent upon funding.

Requirements

  • Bachelors degree and 1 to 2 years of experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience required
  • Driver’s License

Responsibilities

  • Work with the PI and supervisor to identify clinical research and community outreach programs that support the CRS mission.
  • Collaborate with PI and supervisor to fine tune final project vision.
  • Assist leadership as needed with grant proposal preparation and submission including research writing, liaison between contributors and budget development.
  • Coordinate community outreach activities and research studies focusing on CPR and CPR quality.
  • Coordinate project flow, ensure project milestones are meet and data is accurate.
  • Identify need for & implement improvements.
  • Responsible for handling communication with community partners.
  • Recruit subjects and oversee volunteers.
  • Assist with the oversight of project volunteers and staff by coordinating schedules.
  • Work with Director of Research and HR Coordinator on various employment related transactions.
  • Handle growth of programming to potentially include certification CPR classes.
  • Will assist with coordinating IRB documents.
  • Other duties as assigned
