SUMMARY: Under general supervision but following established policies and procedures performs scientific investigative research in areas related to related to HIV treatment, HIV prevention, and implementation science. Works with the principal investigators and/or project leaders to complete various research study tasks. May also assist in writing presentations and papers for publication based on the research performed. Preferred experience in qualitative data coding using NVivo or Dedoose software. Study tasks include: completing literature reviews, monitoring study recruitment, conducting interviews, quantitative and qualitative evaluation and interpretation of data, and manuscript preparation. Use NVivo, Dedoose, and/or SPSS software to assist in the data analysis. Participates in the interpretation of the results. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: BASIC KNOWLEDGE: Bachelor’s Degree in Public Health or related field. Requires a working knowledge of research methodology and qualitative coding. EXPERIENCE: Exposure to research and statistical analyses through coursework and/or independent research experience. Preferred experience in NVivo and research related to HIV. Ability to execute basic computer tasks using applications such as Microsoft Office. Ability to assist with completing literature reviews, IRB documents, and manuscripts. WORK ENVIRONMENT AND PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Completion remote via HIPPA compliant zoom and remote desktop access. May participate in meetings in hospital when appropriate. INDEPENDENT ACTION: Performs independently with the department’s policies and practices. Refers specific complex problems to the supervisor when clarification of the departmental policies and procedures is required. SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY: Provides functional guidance to other research staff as necessary.
