The Clinical Research Assistant works under general supervision to perform administrative support for multiple clinical trials. Encompasses a variety of clinical and administrative tasks and responsibilities which serve to facilitate the flow of patients through the clinic and to enhance the quality of care to patients. The emphasis is primarily administrative and placed on the ability to organize priorities, complete tasks, manage confidential patient information, schedule appointments, arrange diagnostic testing and referrals, and assist with insurance-related issues. Depending on interest, participation in research protocols may also be possible.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent
  • Careful attention to detail
  • Good organizational skills
  • Ability to follow directions
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • Computer literacy
  • Knowledge of clinical Research Protocols

  • 0-1 year of experience with clinical Research Protocols

Responsibilities

  • Maintains lab supplies, reagents and executes all orders
  • Maintains records and databases
  • Manages data collection via chart abstraction and submits data in a timely fashion
  • Coordinate, obtain, process, and orders placed by the investigator and research team
  • Maintain accurate records of all receipts, funds, charges
  • Maintain research website
  • Provides administrative support duties
  • Collects and organizes patient data.
  • Uses software programs to generate graphs and reports.
  • Assists with recruiting patients for clinical trials.
  • Obtains patient study data from medical Records, Physicians, etc.
