About The Position

The Division of Critical Care at Nemours Children's Hospital Delaware is seeking a Clinical Research Assistant to support and expand the clinical research program within the pediatric intensive care unit (PICU). The candidate should have at least an Associate's degree, though additional professional education is encouraged, and should be motivated to work with families, children, and staff in a highly collaborative environment focused on outstanding clinical care, education, and research. The Clinical Research Assistant will join a productive research team that is overseen by a Research Nurse Coordinator and the Director of Research for the PICU.

Requirements

• At least an Associate's degree or two years of clinical research experience in lieu of an Associate's degree.
• Some familiarity with human subjects' research regulations.
• Ability to work with children.
• Experience with computer data entry and management.
• Familiarity with common computer programs, such as Microsoft Word, Excel, and Adobe.

Responsibilities

• Work with physicians and nurses to develop and implement clinical research studies.
• Screen and recruit eligible research participants.
• Assist with budget and document preparation.
• Provide research education and informed consent.
• Conduct study procedures, including basic laboratory processing of biologic samples.
• Collect and analyze data.
• Prepare manuscripts.
