About The Position

The Research Assistant II supports clinical research and health services research projects. This position collaborates with the clinical research coordinator and study team, assisting with data, coordination, and protocol activities. It is an opportunity for individuals seeking to support and advance their careers in research.

Requirements

  • High school education required
  • Valid health care provider CPR certification
  • Minimum two (2) years of related experience in healthcare or research (bench research, clinical research or health services research) OR one (1) year of healthcare experience plus one year of industry related research experience within a healthcare setting (such as working for MIRI)
  • Highly proficient with MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook), email, internet
  • Current Washington State Drivers License; and proof of a safe driving record (which meets established MHS Standards) obtained by a motor vehicle report from the appropriate state

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • Specific experience in clinical research with knowledge of clinical trials, informed consent design and process and conduct of clinical trials preferred

Responsibilities

  • Distribute, collect and document essential data and aid in the compilation and verification of research data, samples, and/or specimens
  • Coordinate and complete protocol related activities and research visits needed to complete research projects
  • Aid in the identification and screening of patients
  • Partner across internal and external groups applying leadership, good judgement and effective communication skills
