About The Position

This Clinical Quality Nurse will be responsible for focusing on improving healthcare quality and patient safety by monitoring patient care processes. The role involves collaborating with a multidisciplinary team, including physicians, dietitians, social workers, nurses, and child life specialists, to identify areas for improvement and implement solutions to enhance outcomes. The nurse will collect, analyze, and present clinical data to meet CMS regulatory requirements for QAPI (Quality Assessment and Performance Improvement) for the Dialysis Program. Additionally, the nurse will prepare and present Dialysis QAPI data for bimonthly meetings to the Dialysis Governing Body and maintain meeting minutes of QAPI meetings, following up on the implementation of improvement initiatives. The position also includes collecting, analyzing, and presenting clinical data to monitor for hospital-acquired conditions (HAC) related to the Vascular Access Service, specifically Peripheral IV Infiltration and Extravasation (PIVIE), performing chart reviews, and conducting patient assessments of PIVIE. The working hours are Monday to Friday, from 8:30 AM to 5 PM.

Requirements

  • BSN degree and MA RN License
  • At least 2 years of Inpatient nursing experience
  • Microsoft Excel experience and ability to use statistical data programs
  • Interest in healthcare quality improvement and using data to understand and improve patient outcomes
