About The Position

The Clinical Psychology Associate (Post-Doc) provides diagnostic assessment, crisis intervention, brief psychotherapy, and referrals to students experiencing psychological distress, all under the supervision of a licensed psychologist. This role also involves participating in psycho-educational activities designed to address students' developmental needs. The Associate will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including psychiatrists, social workers, mental health counselors, and other psychologists to ensure comprehensive client care. This is a fixed-term position with an end date of May 31, 2026.

Requirements

  • Ph.D. or Psy.D. in Clinical or Counseling Psychology from an APA accredited institution (required before start date)
  • Completion of an APA-accredited pre-doctoral internship
  • License eligible in the state of practice or eligible for temporary/provisional licensure
  • Successful criminal background check and education verification satisfactory to Brown

Responsibilities

  • Provide diagnostic assessment to students in psychological distress

  • Provide referrals to students in psychological distress
