Conduct psychological assessments for neurodevelopmental disorders as well as utilizing clinical tools to prepare necessary diagnostic reporting. Assesses adults and/or children for the appropriateness of treatment; conducts psychosocial assessments and diagnoses mental health and co-occurring disorders. Assists in the coordinating of care by collaborating with psychiatrists, BH therapists and medical providers. Maintains communication with other local service agencies for patient referrals as needed. Develops network of community resources and maintains liaison with these resources. Responsible for working with patients on implementation and oversight of the Plan of Care.Keeps accurate, up-to-date records on patients served, including progress notes, transfer and discharge plans, annual reviews, and all patient contacts.Candidates must be culturally competent and demonstrate ability to engage with patients of multi-cultural backgrounds, nationalities, origins and diverse sexual preferences.Participates in utilization review activities.Will be required to maintain monthly productivity.This position is required to learn and comply with Agency policies, procedures and ethical standards, HIPAA laws and guidelines, and the Professional Code of Ethics for the state of California.Must be able to collaborate with Agency staff, other organizations or contacts; attend regular meetings and articulate brief psychotherapy concepts for the cross-learning benefit of the integrated team.Candidates must be computer literate and have excellent verbal and written clinical skills.Must have a current California Drivers License and reliable access to an automobile with liability insurance.Prior to employment clearance by the Department of Justice and a TB test will be required.Other Experience and Skills Required:Ability to work effectively in an interdisciplinary team approach with both paraprofessionals and professionals. Ability to maintain patient dignity and confidentiality.Ability to build rapport with patients and families and communicate effectively.Strong analytical and observational skills. Reasonable and predictable in person attendance. Bilingual (Spanish-English) may be required for some positions.Familiarity with community resources desirable. Excellent writing and verbal skills are essential.Familiar with and able to practice consistent with the diagnosis and treatment of Co-Occurring DisordersPerforms other job-related duties as required.Qualifications:A doctoral degree in psychology (Ph.D. or Psy.
