About the position

Corrections professionals who foster a humane and secure environment and ensure public safety by preparing individuals for successful reentry into our communities.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement, coordinate and evaluate the specialty treatment program.
  • Administer, score, and interpret a variety of psychological testing instruments and procedures.
  • Plan and perform individual and group psychotherapy on a regularly scheduled basis.
  • Conduct interviews and crisis intervention sessions as needed.
  • Respond to special requests for evaluation by institution staff or inmates.
  • Maintain security of the institution as part of correctional responsibilities.

Requirements

  • U.S. Citizenship Required.
  • Satisfactory completion of all requirements for a doctoral degree (Ph.D. or equivalent) in clinical psychology.
  • At least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level.
  • Must hold a full, current, and unrestricted license to practice psychology at the doctoral level.
