Licensed Clinical Psychologist or LCSW for a Federally Funded Youth Center in Astoria, OR
About The Position
OPPORTUNITY: PsyPhyCare, a division of Business Staffing of America, Inc., is seeking to contract with a mental health professional Clinical Psychologist or Licensed Clinical Social Worker for a Federally supported client in Astoria, OR 97103 Our client operates a comprehensive residential program to prepare poverty-level youth(approximately 300), sixteen through twenty-four years of age, for meaningful employment. We seek to engage a qualified licensed Psychologist or LCSW to provide on-site mental health services for a maximum of 15 hours per week. We are looking for 2 Mental Health Practitioners for these schedules : 36 hours per week , and the other is 10 hours per week . The facility operates Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM , with weekends and evenings off . Work schedules are flexible and can be coordinated to meet both the needs of the facility and the consultant. Increased afternoon/evening hours to be spent in Student Areas (Dorms, Recreation, Counselling, Dining Hall, etc., to meet/interact with students in their environments). More direct oversight/guidance/training to staff who lead group counseling sessions.
Requirements
- The Mental Health Professional (performing work must be registered/licensed/certified by the State as a psychologist or LCSW.
- Must have a minimum of one (1) year of experience in providing mental health care for adolescents and young adults.
- Experience in Microsoft Word and Outlook is required.
Nice To Haves
- Previous practice in settings such as schools, colleges, institutions, military or correctional institutions is desired.
- Admission and attending privileges at local hospitals or specialty clinics is desired.
