As a NICU Psychologist, you will play a pivotal role in supporting high-risk infants and their families during their most critical moments. The Impact You’ll Make You will bridge the gap between medical acuity and psychological well-being by providing expert behavioral health interventions and developmental assessments. Your work will focus on: Family-Centered Care: Providing trauma-informed interventions and support for postpartum mental health to parents and caregivers. Clinical Excellence: Assessing the psychological and developmental needs of high-risk infants to promote healthy parent-infant bonding. Program Innovation: Engaging in program development to enhance perinatal mental health services and psychosocial support within the NICU. A Collaborative Environment You won't work in a silo. This role thrives on high-level integration with: NICU Care Teams: Working alongside neonatologists, nurses, and social workers to build comprehensive, holistic care plans. Psychology Faculty: Collaborating with pediatric psychologists across other medical specialties on training and cross-specialty interventions. The Next Generation: Participating in our multi-tier training program, with potential opportunities to contribute to the University of Washington APA-accredited psychology internship.
