About The Position

This position is located within the Behavioral Health Psychology Services at Blanchfield Army Community Hospital in Fort Campbell, Kentucky. This is a Direct Hire Solicitation. A recruitment or relocation incentive may be authorized. Salary negotiation may be available for those candidates who are new to Federal service. Fort Campbell is located on the Kentucky/Tennessee border between Hopkinsville and Clarksville, directly off of I-24 and only 40 miles NW of Nashville. Requirements

  • Doctoral Degree (Ph.D. or equivalent) directly related to full professional work in clinical psychology.
  • One year of specialized experience which includes conducting behavioral health assessments; providing individual and group treatment; and working as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  • Current, active, valid, unrestricted clinical license to practice Psychology independently, offered by a U.S. State, District of Columbia, commonwealth, territory or jurisdiction.

Responsibilities

  • Applies biopsychosocial evaluations to propose behavioral health interventions.
  • Provides evidence-based treatment, including behavioral, cognitive, and motivational approaches.
  • Provides primary care providers and staff regular and concise feedback on the status of referred patients, to include recommendations for team-based care.
  • Implements psychoeducational classes to target high frequency diagnoses found in the primary care clinic.
  • Documents information in the electronic health record during patient encounters.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
