About The Position

This position is located at the Dwight D. Eisenhower Army Medical Center Primary Care Behavioral Health (Family Medicine Department) in Fort Gordon, Georgia . We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Clinical Psychologist-Behavioral Health Consultant to join our Primary Care Behavioral Health Team as a full-time, integrated team member. You will be at the forefront of patient care, using the innovative Primary Care Behavioral Health (PCBH) model to make a direct impact every day. Clinical Psychologist (Behavioral Health Consultant) Position available for a full-time Clinical Psychologist (Behavioral Health Consultant) at Fort Gordon, adjacent to Augusta, Georgia, famous for its major attraction, The Masters Golf Tournament. Ft. Gordon has a moderate year-round climate and offers proximity to metropolitan areas, beaches along the Atlantic Ocean and the Appalachian Mountains. The Augusta area is a growing community with an excellent quality of life. A wide variety of cultural and outdoor recreational activities are readily available locally, and many more are easily accessible from the coast to the mountains. Augusta has a vibrant professional medical environment, including the Medical College of Georgia and other referral medical centers. The cost of living is quite reasonable, with quality homes at good prices.

Requirements

• US Citizenship required
• Must have practiced as a licensed independent practioner within the past two years
• Doctoral Degree (Ph.D. or equivalent) directly related to full professional work in clinical psychology.
• A current, active, valid, and unrestricted clinical license to practice Psychology independently from a U.S. State, the District of Columbia, Commonwealth, territory, or jurisdiction is required.
• Candidates will have completed an American Psychological Association (APA) accredited doctoral graduate program and an APA accredited predoctoral internship.

Responsibilities

• Direct Patient Care - Provide targeted, evidence-based assessments and interventions in brief 30-minute appointments for a wide range of behavioral, chronic medical, and health conditions.
• Team Collaboration -Act as a core member of the Primary Care team. Participate in daily huddles, facilitate "warm handoffs" from providers, and offer expert consultation on patient care.
• Program Development - Develop, teach, and oversee health education classes for patients. Provide training to primary care staff to enhance the integration of behavioral health services.
• Clinical Excellence- Utilize a stepped-care approach to maximize patient access. Monitor treatment effectiveness with measurable outcomes and ensure timely, concise documentation.
