About The Position

This position is responsible for the supervision of direct service staff in an assigned department and follows all policies/procedures set forth by the program, agency, Mental Health Board, and State of Ohio.  This position will coordinate services internally with other departments and externally when appropriate.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree in Social Work, Counseling, or related field required.
  • Current Ohio licensure as a Psychologist, LPCC, LISW, LICDC, or RN required (independent licensure required where applicable; dual licensure required for AOD programs).
  • Minimum five (5) years of clinical experience in a mental health or related setting; prior supervisory experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of mental health disorders, assessment, crisis intervention, and individual and group counseling techniques.
  • Ability to lead staff, analyze problems, make sound decisions, and support program operations in a fast-paced environment.
  • CPR and CPI certification required within 90 days of hire.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings or weekends as needed.
  • Valid driver’s license and insurable under agency policy if position requires driving.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior supervisory experience preferred.
  • Supervisory designation (for LPCC, LISW, or LICDC) preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Lead, supervise, and develop program staff, including hiring, scheduling, performance evaluations, and corrective action as needed.
  • Oversee daily program and clinical operations to ensure high-quality care, timely documentation, and regulatory compliance.
  • Ensure program meets productivity, budget, and financial performance goals; monitor expenses and report outcomes to leadership.
  • Provide and document required clinical supervision in accordance with licensure and agency standards.
  • Maintain compliance with agency policies and all state and accrediting body requirements.
  • Monitor client records and service delivery to ensure accuracy, completeness, and adherence to clinical guidelines.
  • Support program growth through community outreach, referral relationships, and collaboration with marketing efforts.
  • Provide direct services, facilitate groups, and respond to crises as needed.
  • Maintain required licensure and complete ongoing professional development.
