The Structural Heart Clinical Program Coordinator is a key member of the Heart & Vascular Outcomes Department, serving as the program lead for Nebraska Medicine's Structural Heart Disease (SHD) quality initiatives and registry operations. This role is responsible for ensuring complete, accurate, and timely participation in two required National Cardiovascular Data Registry (NCDR) programs: the Transcatheter Valve Therapy (TVT) Registry and the Left Atrial Appendage Occlusion (LAAO) Registry. The primary focus of this position is high-complexity manual data abstraction, stringent adherence to national standards, and deep familiarity with registry methodology to ensure data reliability, audit readiness, and accurate outcomes reporting. The coordinator will serve as the institutional subject matter expert for both registries, synthesizing TVT and LAAO data into actionable insights that inform clinical decision-making, operational improvements, and program strategy. In partnership with Structural Heart physicians, this coordinator supports the full continuum of SHD care from multidisciplinary case conferencing and documentation integrity to post-procedure surveillance and performance improvement. The role facilitates SHD quality committees for TAVR, MitraClip/TEER, and LAAO (Watchman), ensuring alignment between clinical practice, registry outcomes, and national benchmarks. Beyond program-specific responsibilities, the coordinator contributes to broader Heart & Vascular Outcomes initiatives and cross-coverage, supporting depth and continuity across cardiovascular registries, accreditation activities, and PI work. Partner with the clinical program leadership to assist with clinical program operations related to performance improvement, education, outreach, and injury prevention activities. Participates in the overall development, implementation and evaluation of the identified program by organizing the services and systems necessary for a multidisciplinary approach to providing care for the injured patient. Work with all departments involved in the care of the identified patient population and their families. Work collaboratively with colleagues to serve as a resource and to support the assessment of care across the regional system.
