Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree and three years’ experience coordinating or administering a program.
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision and exercise independent judgment.
  • Excellent organizational skills and oral and written communication skills.
  • Excellent computer and data management skills.
  • Attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to prioritize responsibilities, manage multiple concurrent projects.
  • Professional demeanor and ability to work well with a wide variety of people.
  • Relevant education and experience may be substituted as appropriate.

Nice To Haves

  • More than required amount of experience coordinating or administering a program.
  • One year of experience as a clerical supervisor or performing complex administrative functions.
  • Experience using Microsoft Teams, Excel, CLIO, Canvas, and other cloud-based platforms, such as Box.
  • Prior experience working with low-income clients.
  • Ability to speak and write Spanish.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain and manage clinic operations, including responsibility for all aspects of the use of Clio by the Clinic (including billing and payments).
  • Coordinate and process travel arrangements and reimbursements, monitor the budget, maintain the office space and order supplies, respond to incoming mail, email, and phone calls.
  • Help update course materials, monitor an appointment calendar, manage the Clinic course site on Canvas, and support clinical faculty instructional and scholarly activities.
  • Train and assist students in clinic and office procedures and technology.
  • Develop and update student training materials.
  • Collect and coordinate required student documentation.
  • Prepare, manage, and update student files.
  • Communicate with students.
  • Serve as the liaison between the Clinic and other law school departments.
  • Prepare or assist faculty and students with case/project-related documents.
  • Perform other administrative duties as assigned by clinical faculty and the Law School Clinical Program.
