About The Position

Novant Health Cancer Institute is seeking an exceptional, collaborative physician leader to join their program as the Market Leader for Oncology/Hematology in Winston-Salem, NC and the surrounding region. The program is designed to promote disease sub-specialization with team-based multi-disciplinary care. We enjoy close collaboration with heart and vascular, neurology, and surgical institutes. Additionally, we have a growing FACT accredited cellular therapy program. The Greater Winston-Salem Market is a division of Novant Health Cancer Institute. The institute includes over 100 specialists in 30+ locations across the state of NC. This role reports to the system physician executive for Novant Health Cancer Institute, Dr. David Rizzieri. Together with the other market leaders, they will develop the growth plans for their team and execute on those plans. Provider will be on active medical staff with Novant Health Forsyth Medical Center and part of Novant Medical Group.

Requirements

• Board-certified or board-eligible in Medical Oncology and/or Hematology
• Minimum of 5 years of experience as a physician leader
• Continued formal development as a leader is encouraged while in this role

Responsibilities

• Involve administrative (.5 FTE) and clinical (.5 FTE) duties
• Responsible for quality/safety/patient experience/financial/growth/strategy objectives of the market while working with an administrative dyad partner
• Lead a group of 50+ providers at 9 clinic locations
• Collaborate with the market leadership and administration of 5 hospitals in the region
