About The Position

The Clinical Pharmacy Technician I position at Option Care Health involves assisting licensed pharmacists in ensuring smooth and accurate pharmacy operations. Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • 0 to 6 months of relevant experience.
  • Must be licensed or registered within 6 months of hire (if required by state).
  • Successful completion of the OCH-designated training course within 6 months of hire (if required by state).
  • Customer service experience, ensuring quality service and customer satisfaction.
  • Ability to perform basic and intermediate mathematical calculations.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Basic proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous healthcare or pharmacy technician experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Review and validate basic prescription drug refill requests following company policies and procedures.
  • Assist in the preparation and dispensing of medications and supplies.
  • Maintain equipment by performing calibration, inspection, cleaning, and testing; report any defects to the supervisor.
  • Collect and maintain basic patient information to ensure accurate planning for materials, supplies, equipment, and prescriptions.
  • Enhance the patient experience by answering basic questions and responding to requests.
  • Receive and verify quantities of incoming supplies and materials.
  • Stock and organize new supplies and materials.
  • Monitor expiration dates, identify shortages, and manage inventory through accurate data entry.
  • Pick, pack, and schedule patient deliveries.
  • Clean and sanitize surfaces and laminar flow hoods.
  • Organize and maintain supplies.
