The Clinical Pharmacist is responsible for providing clinical pharmacy services to patients receiving treatment within their assigned specialty. They are aligned with a specific patient population, medical team, or designated specialty area within the hospital and/or ambulatory clinics. The role also involves active participation in related education and research activities.

  • Provide clinical pharmacy services for patients in assigned specialty.
  • Align with patient population, medical team, or specialty area.
  • Participate in education and research activities.
  • Graduate of an ACPE accredited School of Pharmacy.
  • PharmD or equivalent education and hospital or ambulatory training/experience required.
  • PGY2 residency or equivalent experience required; PGY2 residency training preferred.
  • Two to four years of experience in a relevant practice area considered equivalent to each year of residency training.
  • Board certification preferred.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to interact effectively with medical, nursing, and pharmacy staff, pharmacy residents, and students.
  • Knowledge and understanding of general hospital and outpatient clinic operations.
  • Ability to integrate clinical services and educational activities.
  • Board certification is preferred.
  • PGY2 residency training is preferred.
