The Clinical Pharmacy Specialist for Adult Palliative Care and Supportive Oncology Research is responsible for providing clinical pharmacy services to patients in the Adult Palliative Care clinic and Supportive Oncology research program. The Clinical Pharmacy Specialist for Adult Palliative Care and Supportive Oncology Research will work closely with physicians, advanced practice providers, nurses, and pharmacists to provide comprehensive patient care for outpatients. The Clinical Pharmacy Specialist for Adult Palliative Care and Supportive Oncology Research will also be responsible for counseling patients starting new pain and symptom management therapies; performing clinical assessments; performing adherence and toxicity checks for patients; answering drug-information questions;and assisting with drug access. Additionally, CDTM practice may be expected depending on the clinical need of the practice area. Clinical Pharmacy Specialist for Adult Palliative Care and Supportive Oncology Research will also contribute to ongoing research initiatives including applying specialized knowledge of dosing, administration and active blinding of psychoactive research agents and contribute to the assessment and management of potential adverse events and identifying potentially serious drug interactions. This position's work location is onsite (Longwood) with up to one day per week remote. The selected candidate may only work remotely from a New England state (ME, VT, NH, MA, CT, RI).
