About The Position
The Clinical Pharmacy Specialist in Antimicrobial Stewardship/Infectious Disease is responsible for maintaining a professional image and exhibiting excellent customer relations to patients, visitors, physicians, and co-workers in accordance with our Service Excellence Standards and Core Values. This role requires a positive attitude and teamwork with other department employees, including pharmacy students and residents, as well as other hospital personnel. The specialist must be knowledgeable in medications and possess the clinical and professional skills to interact positively with healthcare practitioners. Responsibilities include following institutional pharmacy policies, accurately interpreting and entering medication orders, and providing comprehensive clinical pharmacy services in a decentralized model. The specialist will also provide drug information, recommendations, and education related to assigned clinical areas, report adverse drug events, assist with protocol development, and participate in hospital committees. The position contributes to the development of pharmacy practice and the optimization of medication use.
