About The Position

Pharmacy residents in the pharmacy practice residency program at Children's Hospitals and Clinics are expected to become effective, self-reliant practitioners providing pharmaceutical care to pediatric patients in multiple environments. They will provide professional leadership as a role model and demonstrate commitment to the pharmacy profession. Residents will function as a member of the health care team, demonstrating maturity and effective interpersonal skills, and effectively educate other health professionals, students, patients, and the community regarding health care issues. They are also expected to conduct ongoing self-evaluation to continue to develop personal and professional skills, and identify, collect, and manage data to support clinical outcomes and research.

Requirements

  • Graduate from a college/school of Pharmacy accredited by the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE) OR graduate from a foreign college of pharmacy that has at least a five-year curriculum and has passed the Foreign Pharmacy Graduate Equivalency Examination (FPGEE) and become certified by the Foreign Pharmacy Graduate Equivalency Commission (FPGEC)
  • Pharmacist Licensure in the state of Minnesota current or within four months of hire
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification current or within three months of hire

Nice To Haves

  • Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) from an ACPE-accredited institution
