About The Position

The Clinical Pharmacy Manager creates continuing education programs for the pharmacy and/or the hospital, utilizing a multidisciplinary approach. This job also promotes a model of continuous learning through participation in education, consultation, role modeling and research and evaluates medicine utilization patterns with the objective to develop pharma-economic initiatives to improve cost containment. In accordance with regulations, the Manager Clinical, collaborates with other members of the health care team and uses clinical judgment skills to assess, monitor, detect usage of medicines and takes appropriate action to prevent potential physiological complications associated with specific health problems and/or medical treatment. Additionally, this job develops, implements and maintains documentation to record statistics.

Requirements

• Bachelors degree in pharmacy or PharmD.
• Must be a 'good standing' licensed Pharmacist in the state of Tennessee.
• Prior inpatient/hospital experience.
• Prior clinical pharmacy management experience preferred.
• Board Certification(s) preferred.
• Completion of an ASHP-accredited pharmacy residency and/or fellowship preferred.
• Ability to see, hear, write, and speak clearly in order to communicate with customers and health care professionals.
• Ability to work on call or be in an on call rotation.
