About The Position

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Pharmacy Required
• Pharm D. Required
• Must comply with CLIA regulations regarding foreign education equivalency
• PGY1 residency completion preferred
• At least 3 years of medium or large hospital experience strongly preferred
• 1-2 years of Acute Care Inpatient Hospital Pharmacy experience (ICU, OR, ED, NICU) strongly preferred
• ACPE - IV Certification strongly preferred
• PHAR - Pharmacist Upon Hire Required

Responsibilities

• Communicating effectively, building positive professional relationships and role modeling teamwork.
• Timely and accurate support of medication distribution including medication order verification and oversight of pharmacy technician responsibilities.
• Provision of clinical pharmacy services for the safe and efficient patient care.
• Ensuring the accuracy of one's own work as well as maintaining required competencies and other documentation.
• Consistent support of the department's QA and PS standards programs and initiatives.
• Ongoing professional development and growth.
• Management of one's own time and sharing the responsibility for minimizing pharmaceutical costs and discovering new process efficiencies.
• Respond to medical emergencies per hospital policy as available.
• Other duties as assigned.
