Clinical Pharmacist – $10K Sign-On
About The Position
Heartline Staffing, in partnership with Purple Cow Recruiting, is seeking a Clinical Pharmacist for a high-performing acute care hospital in Panama City, Florida. This is a strong opportunity for a hospital-based pharmacist who wants clinical involvement, schedule variety, and long-term growth within a stable health system. The Clinical Pharmacist interprets and verifies medication orders, compounds and dispenses pharmaceuticals, monitors drug therapy, and supports hospital-wide clinical pharmacy programs. This role partners closely with providers and care teams to ensure safe, effective, and evidence-based medication use across the hospital setting.
Requirements
- At least 1 year of recent acute hospital pharmacist experience required OR completion of a PGY-1 in a hospital setting
- New grad pharmacists with hospital internship experience will be considered
- BS or PharmD from an ACPE accredited School of Pharmacy required
- Active pharmacist license in good standing with the Florida State Board of Pharmacy required
- Strong clinical judgment and medication safety focus
- Ability to work effectively in acute hospital environment
Responsibilities
- Interpret and verify medication orders accurately and efficiently
- Compound and dispense pharmaceuticals safely
- Monitor therapy for contraindications, allergies, and drug interactions
- Support formulary compliance and rational drug therapy selection
- Provide medication information to healthcare staff and patients
- Participate in clinical programs including pharmacokinetics, anticoagulation, renal dosing, pain management, nutrition support, and IV to PO conversion
- Document clinical interventions accurately and completely
- Report medication errors and adverse drug reactions appropriately
- Support pharmacy operations and overall team workflow
