About The Position
A leading acute-care provider in the Lake City region is seeking an Advanced Clinical Pharmacist to support overnight critical care services. This role focuses on clinical decision-making, sterile compounding accuracy, medication optimization, and direct support of high-acuity patient populations. The pharmacist will work independently while partnering with nursing and medical teams to ensure safe and effective medication therapy. Requirements
- Degree from an ACPE-accredited College of Pharmacy (BS Pharmacy or PharmD).
- Active Florida Pharmacist license or eligibility to obtain.
- Strong clinical reasoning, communication, and independent decision-making.
- Hospital experience or residency training strongly preferred.
- Board certification desirable.
Responsibilities
- Ensure safe, evidence-based medication order verification and dosing adjustments.
- Oversee sterile compounding activities in accordance with USP guidelines.
- Respond to clinical consults, provide drug information, and support bedside teams.
- Monitor and maintain controlled substance processes, including reconciliation.
- Assist with medication-use evaluations, monographs, and clinical pathway updates.
- Maintain distribution oversight including storage, automation systems, and workflow efficiency.
- Promote patient-centered communication and care.
