About The Position

Corewell Health Wayne Hospital, established in 1957, is a full-service hospital serving western Wayne communities. It holds verification as a Level III Trauma Center by the American College of Surgeons and collaborates with Detroit Metropolitan Airport and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention to address various health and communicable disease concerns. The Clinical Pharmacist provides Pharmaceutical Care in adherence to professional and departmental standards and statutory requirements. This role involves delivering safe, effective, rational, and cost-conscious pharmacotherapeutic recommendations through the department's medication management programs. The Clinical Pharmacist also assists in supervising Pharmacy Technicians and Interns, participates in department-directed medication management activities aligned with Beaumont Health goals, and is expected to demonstrate sound judgment, decisiveness, and a current knowledge of pharmaceutical practice. A personal commitment to professional growth is essential. Furthermore, the Clinical Pharmacist supports management by offering oversight, guidance, and assistance for assigned areas, and contributes to the planning, organization, implementation, and monitoring of new programs and activities.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree Pharmacy or Doctor of Pharmacy degree from an accredited College of Pharmacy
  • 1 year of relevant pharmacy experience

Responsibilities

  • Provides Pharmaceutical Care according to professional and departmental standards and statutory requirements.
