Get to Know Your Team: Seton Medical Center Harker Heights is an 83-bed acute care hospital offering services such as Cardiology, Emergency Services, and a Level IV Trauma Designated ER, General Surgery, Orthopedic Surgery, Total Joint Replacement, Gastroenterology, Diagnostic Services, and more.

Requirements

B.S. or Pharm D. from an ACPE-accredited School of Pharmacy.
Clinical pharmacy experience in a hospital setting.
Completion of an accredited PGY-1 Pharmacy residency or fellowship
or
2+ years of clinical pharmacy experience with no history of residency or fellowship.
Active Pharmacist license in good standing with the appropriate State Board of Pharmacy.
Other applicable state requirements – i.e., sterile compounding, etc.
BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and prior to providing direct patient care.
ALS/ACLS certification (BLS required within 90 days of hire; ALS/ACLS required for attending Code Blue).

Nice To Haves

Doctor of Pharmacy from an ACPE-accredited college of pharmacy.

Responsibilities

The clinical pharmacist optimizes patient care by providing appropriate, safe, and cost-effective pharmaceutical care, including drug dispensing, an IV admixture program, and providing drug information.
Works under the direction of the Director of Pharmacy and/or the Pharmacy Operations Manager and will oversee the work of pharmacy technicians, students, and support staff.
