Requirements

• Doctorate degree
• Licensed Pharmacist (RPH)

Nice To Haves

• 1 hospital experience strongly preferred
• Basic Life Support - CPR Cert (BLS)
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support Cert (ACLS)
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support Cert (PALS)
• Neonatal Resuscitation Protocol (NRP)

Responsibilities

• Interprets prescription and medication orders accurately and clarifies any uncertainties to ensure safe and effective patient care.
• Monitors drug utilization to detect potential interactions, overlaps, dosing issues, and other unique situations.
• Participates in Code Blue and other emergency situations to ensure adequate drug supply and appropriate drug use.
• Supervises pharmacy technicians and supporting staff, directing workflow and ensuring completion of duties.
• Compounds medications safely and accurately, meeting regulatory and record-keeping requirements.
