As a Clinical Pharmacist – PRN Weekend, you will provide vital support for centralized pharmacy operations by rotating through responsibilities such as order clarification, IV preparation and operational coverage. You will also engage in clinical monitoring activities, including rounding with providers and nursing teams to ensure safe and effective medication use. In this role, your expertise in drug selection, dosing and interactions will help optimize patient outcomes and enhance quality of care. This is an excellent opportunity to apply your clinical knowledge in a flexible weekend role while contributing to a collaborative, patient-focused pharmacy team. This is a PRN weekender position. Shifts will be based on facility needs.

Requirements

  • PharmD or Bachelor of Science degree in Pharmacy from an accredited pharmacy college.
  • Current state licensure as a Registered Pharmacist (RPh) or eligible for reciprocation in current state within 90 days of hire.
  • Completion of a post-graduate year 1 residency (PGY1), fellowship or 2 years of relevant post-graduate pharmacy experience.
  • Post-graduate year 2 residency (PGY2) or relevant experience for Clinical Pharmacists hired in a specialized pharmacy practice area (i.e. Critical Care, Oncology).

Responsibilities

  • Provide safe, efficient, patient-centered, evidence-based medication services.
  • Verify medication orders and/or dispense medications accurately according to state and federal regulations.
  • Document services in a complete, accurate, and timely manner.
  • Ensure all pharmacy operations comply with national accreditation standards.
  • Maintain professional interactions with patients to facilitate successful patient experiences.
  • Educate and train students, residents, other caregivers, and/or patients.
