About The Position

Under general supervision, processes and dispenses medications orders, oversees support staff, and provides drug information to patients, physicians, nurses, and other team members. Reviews, interprets, and records physician orders. Dispenses medications and specialty products in accordance with Hospital and departmental policy and regulatory requirements. Routinely reviews medication profiles for detection of allergies, drug interactions, adverse reactions, and drug-related problems.

Requirements

• Seasoned professional knowledge; equivalent to a Master's degree; knowledge in more than one discipline
• 1-3 years Education Discipline : Three (3) years direct (at bedside) experience in specialty area where knowledge is applied toward pharmacotherapy, resulting in a measurable patient outcome
• Registered Pharmacist in Maryland
• Professional membership recommended: AphA, ASHP, MSHP, ASCP, etc
