About The Position

The Clinical Pharmacist at Emory Healthcare plays a vital role in patient care by practicing as a pharmacy generalist in various patient care areas. Requirements

  • One year of relevant experience in pharmacy practice or completion of an ASHP-accredited PGY1 residency preferred.
  • Active Georgia Pharmacist license or eligibility for licensure with an attempt to register for the next available Georgia Pharmacy Practical Examination.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification required.
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support certification required within one year for positions with Code Blue coverage responsibility.

Nice To Haves

  • Pharmacy Specialty Board certification is preferred.
  • Experience working in an academic health system.

Responsibilities

  • Prevent and resolve drug-related problems by consulting with prescribers and documenting appropriately.
  • Perform daily in-depth patient profile reviews to assess and recommend drug therapy.
  • Evaluate, intervene, and document clinical interventions and adverse drug events according to protocols.
  • Monitor drug therapy regimens and make recommendations or modifications as needed.
  • Handle conflicts and ethical issues constructively and appropriately.
  • Oversee the work of pharmacy students, technicians, and pharmacists to ensure compliance with standards.
