We are expanding with a new, one-million-square-foot, 15-floor, state-of-the-art facility on Cleveland Clinic Main Campus designed to elevate care for complex neurological conditions — including spine injuries, epileptic seizures, movement disorders, multiple sclerosis and stroke. This advanced building brings every stage of care under one roof, featuring dedicated spaces for outpatient services, surgery, stepdown, ICU and epilepsy monitoring, as well as additional operating rooms and expanded ambulatory, infusion, imaging, EMG, sleep and rehabilitation services. As a Clinical Pharmacist, the caregiver will ensure medications are selected, prepared, and dispensed accurately and safely, supporting timely and compassionate patient care. Working collaboratively with interdisciplinary care teams, the caregiver will help optimize medication therapy and contribute to positive patient outcomes. A caregiver in this role will spend approximately 75–80% of their time primarily staffed in the new Neurological Building, with opportunities to rotate into other areas, including the Main Campus Inpatient Pharmacy. This role offers meaningful exposure across multiple practice settings, access to robust education and professional development resources, and the opportunity to make a lasting impact on patients’ health and well-being every day. A caregiver in this role will work day shift Monday through Friday, with a rotating evening shift every 8th week. Every 8th weekend requirement. One holiday per year.

Requirements

• PharmD or Bachelor of Science degree in Pharmacy from an accredited college of pharmacy.
• Current state licensure as a Registered Pharmacist (RPh) or eligible for reciprocation in current state within 90 days of hire
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross and completion of a Board of Pharmacy approved course in the administration of immunizations or certification obtained within 90 days (for individuals required to administer immunizations)
• Current Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) and/or Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification through American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross. For caregivers required to respond to adult or pediatric cardiopulmonary arrest, this is required within one year of hire
• Typical physical demands include ability to perform the job while standing and walking for prolonged times, approximately 75% of shift and continuously for extended periods of time. Manual dexterity sufficient to perform computer and dispensing functions of the job; ability to lift up to 30 lbs. Position often includes reaching, stretching, stooping, climbing steps and sitting. Must have normal or corrected vision.
• Follows standard precautions using personal protective equipment as required.

• Completion of a post-graduate year 1 residency (PGY1), fellowship or 2 years of relevant post-graduate pharmacy experience
• Post-graduate year 2 residency (PGY2) or relevant experience for Clinical Pharmacists hired in Critical Care or Pharmacotherapy
• 3-4 years of direct critical care experience

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, efficient, patient-centered, evidence-based medication services.
• Verify medication orders and/or dispense medications accurately according to state and federal regulations.
• Document services in a complete, accurate and timely manner.
• Ensure all pharmacy operations comply with national accreditation standards.
• Maintain professional interactions with patients to facilitate successful patient experiences.
• Educate and train students, residents, other caregivers, and/or patients.
