About The Position

We are seeking a skilled Clinical Pharmacist to join a high-acuity inpatient pharmacy team serving ED, ICU, NICU/PICU, oncology, cardiac, surgical, and general medical populations. This role combines direct clinical services with operational responsibilities that support safe, evidence-based medication use across the hospital. You’ll collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, manage therapeutic regimens, supervise pharmacy technicians, and contribute to medication safety and quality initiatives.

Requirements

  • BS Pharmacy or PharmD from an ACPE-accredited program
  • Active Florida Pharmacist license in good standing
  • Recent inpatient acute care experience (within the last 12 months):
  • PGY-1 Residency OR
  • ≥1 year hospital pharmacist experience

Nice To Haves

  • New grads with strong inpatient hospital rotations who meet recency requirements
  • Prior HCA or high-acuity hospital experience

Responsibilities

  • Review and verify medication orders to ensure accuracy and clinical appropriateness
  • Compound and dispense medications following USP, state, and facility standards
  • Evaluate therapies for allergies, contraindications, interactions, and dosing accuracy
  • Provide pharmacokinetics monitoring, anticoagulation management, TPN/nutrition support
  • Perform renal/hepatic dose adjustments and IV-to-PO conversions
  • Support pain and antimicrobial stewardship initiatives
  • Document clinical interventions and recommendations
  • Participate in medication error and ADR reporting
  • Support audits, policy development, and performance improvement activities
  • Provide real-time medication information to physicians, nurses, and patients
  • Participate in clinical rounds and interdisciplinary communication
  • Precept interns/students and mentor technical staff
  • Oversee pharmacy technicians and support efficient central pharmacy workflows
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory, safety, and accreditation standards
