Requirements

  • PharmD in Doctorate of Pharmacy, Or Bachelor's Degree: Bachelor of Pharmacy
  • Upon hire: Washington Pharmacist License
  • Upon hire: Basic Life Support (BLS) (Facility Managed) - where applicable

Nice To Haves

  • Acute care hospital pharmacy experience, 1 year or equivalent experience.
  • Completion of ASHP-accredited PGY1 residency.

Responsibilities

  • Review, verify, and validate oncology and infusion medication orders for appropriateness, dosing, interactions, and protocol compliance
  • Supervise the sterile compounding of hazardous and non‑hazardous medications in accordance with USP <797>/<800> standards.
  • Collaborate with oncologists, nurses, and other clinicians to optimize treatment plans and manage supportive care
  • Monitor therapy outcomes, toxicity, lab parameters, and patient response; recommend adjustments based on clinical guidelines.
  • Provide patient education on chemotherapy regimens, side effects, safe handling, and adherence strategies.
  • Maintain and update chemotherapy protocols, order sets, and treatment pathways.
  • Ensure compliance with accreditation and regulatory bodies (e.g., USP, OSHA, Joint Commission, state board of pharmacy).
  • Support investigational drug services for oncology clinical trials when applicable.
  • Contribute to quality improvement initiatives, medication safety programs, and staff education.
