About The Position

As a Clinical Pharmacist, your work plays an important role in the care of patients and healthcare providers by assuring the safe and effective use of medications as needed. The Clinical Pharmacist monitors and evaluates prescribed therapies to promote optimal drug use and evidence-based practices to reduce risks of drug misadventures. You will have daily interaction with your pharmacy team, nurses, physicians, and other facility staff in the hospital and intervene in conflicts between the Pharmacy and medical staff regarding drug therapy issue resolutions that may arise. You will provide medication information and consultation on pharmacokinetics, dose adjustments, laboratory test orders, and medication monitoring according to established policies and procedures. You will have the opportunity to participate in the training of new pharmacists, pharmacy students, and technicians.

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science or Doctorate degree in Pharmacy from an ACPE-accredited School of Pharmacy.
  • Active pharmacist license in good standing with the State Board of Pharmacy.
  • One year of acute care hospital experience.

Responsibilities
