About The Position

Orsini Rare Disease Pharmacy Solutions is seeking a dedicated pharmacist responsible for dispensing prescriptions and coordinating clinical services for Specialty Pharmacy patients and other customers at the branch location. This role involves interacting with patients and healthcare professionals to provide and coordinate customer care. The pharmacist will conduct medication histories, assess compliance, and suggest modifications to achieve desired therapy outcomes, while also providing educational assistance to patients, families, and caregivers regarding their therapy and treatment. Additionally, the pharmacist will manage therapy care plans, provide specialized pharmaceutical services, and ensure compliance with relevant laws and client agreements.

Requirements

  • Degree in pharmacy from an accredited School of Pharmacy; Pharm. D. Degree preferred.
  • Licensed in the state of Ohio; additional multi-state licensure preferred.
  • Ability to complete a background check and drug screen.
  • Minimum 2 years' experience as a licensed pharmacist.
  • Intermediate computer skills/knowledge of Microsoft Office.
  • Experience in home infusion or specialty pharmacy preferred.
  • Strong organizational skills, interpersonal skills, and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct and evaluate medication histories, assess compliance, and suggest modifications to achieve desired therapy outcomes.
  • Provide educational assistance to patients, families, and caregivers regarding their therapy and treatment.
  • Manage therapy care plans, including risk-based care assessments and follow-up clinical interventions as specified in client agreements.
  • Provide specialized pharmaceutical services to improve drug usage and therapeutic outcomes, advising and educating physicians on patient issues concerning drug therapy.
  • Data entry, verification of prescriptions, and coordination of pharmacy technicians in the preparation, labeling, and delivery of medications.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local laws and client agreements pertaining to the dispensing of drugs and controlled substances.
  • Support the completion of Initial Patient Assessments and Re-assessments as needed.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
