About The Position

The position of Pharmacist at High Point Medical Center involves providing high-quality comprehensive pharmaceutical care tailored to the age of the patient, contributing to positive patient outcomes. The pharmacist will adhere to hospital standards to foster a cooperative work environment through effective communication, interpersonal relationships, and team building. Responsibilities include processing medication orders and prescriptions, supervising technicians to ensure timely and accurate medication dispensing, and delivering pharmaceutical care aimed at achieving optimal therapeutic outcomes. The pharmacist will also participate in quality improvement initiatives, maintain and document competency, and provide age-appropriate care in accordance with established guidelines. The role requires participation in planning and setting personal goals to support departmental objectives.

Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited School of Pharmacy with a B.S. in Pharmacy or Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D.) is required.
  • Current state pharmacist license in good standing through North Carolina Board of Pharmacy is required.

Nice To Haves

  • Hospital Pharmacy Practice Residency or equivalent experience preferred.
  • PGY1 residency completion preferred.
  • One- or two-years' experience in hospital pharmacy is preferred for inpatient positions.
  • Previous mentorship of pharmacy students is preferred.

Responsibilities
