About The Position

Through direct accountability to the Supervisor, Quality and Patient Safety and
in collaboration with the Trauma Program Coordinator and Trauma Program Medical
Director, the Clinical Performance Registered Nurse Trauma is responsible for
completion of concurrent surveillance of identified trauma patient medical
records to identify opportunities within the Trauma Program in conjunction with
the Trauma Performance Improvement & Patient Safety (PIPS) Coordinator.

Requirements

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN), minimum requirement
• A minimum of 3 years Emergency Department experience as a Registered Nurse required
• Experience with spreadsheet and database software required
• Proven analytical skills with the ability to organize, maintain, process, and analyze large amounts of information and complex issues.
• Ability to communicate in a clear, concise and appropriate manner (verbal, nonverbal, written and graphically) with a variety of audiences.
• Ability to manage multiple complex assignments and projects.
• Exceptional customer service and effective interaction with executives, physicians, staff and patients.
• Strong diplomacy and collaboration skills.
• Sound decision-making skills.
• Licensed as a Registered Nurse in the State of Pennsylvania required

Nice To Haves

• Experience with process improvement modalities and teams preferred
• Experience in the implementation and administration of clinical quality databases preferred
• Experience in healthcare quality or performance improvement preferred
• Certification as Certified Emergency Nurse (CEN), certification in healthcare quality (CPHQ) or certification in patient safety (CPPS) preferred
