Job Summary The Department of Anesthesiology and Pain Management at UT Southwestern Medical Center is seeking a highly motivated Board Certified (or Board Eligible) Academic Pediatric Anesthesiologist with advanced training or significant experience in pediatric cardiac anesthesiology to join our growing program at Children's Medical Center Dallas. This position offers a unique opportunity to provide a wide variety of anesthesia care while contributing to the department's academic, research, and teaching missions. Position Highlights Provide anesthesia services supporting children with congenital and acquired heart disease across cardiac and non-cardiac surgeries. We care for one of the largest pediatric heart failure populations in the country, manage patients on ventricular assist devices, and lead the nation in pediatric heart transplants. Deliver high-quality perioperative care and ensure patient safety throughout the surgical continuum and Children's Medical Center Dallas. Supervise and teach residents, fellows, and medical students in both clinical and didactic settings. Participate in departmental academic activities, such as research, quality improvement, and scholarly projects. Engage in collaborative, multidisciplinary clinical care across the institution. MD, DO, or equivalent degree. Board certification or board eligibility in Anesthesiology (ABA or equivalent). Board certification or board eligible in Pediatric Anesthesia Advanced training in pediatric cardiac anesthesia Board certification or board eligible in Adult Cardiac Anesthesia and advanced training in Pediatric Cardiac Anesthesia Eligible for medical licensure in the state of Texas. Demonstrated interest in education, scholarship, and academic contributions. Commitment to excellence in patient care, teamwork, and professional development.
