About The Position

The Patient Access Representative is responsible for managing appointment scheduling and updating patient information for Forefront Dermatology clinics. This role ensures efficient provider schedules to maximize productivity and patient appointments, while delivering excellent customer service to callers.

Requirements

• High school diploma, GED/HSED, or equivalent.
• 1-2 years of recent medical office experience in a similar capacity is preferred.
• Previous customer service experience is preferred.
• Proficient in basic computer functions and ability to learn new software quickly.
• Excellent customer service, communication, and organizational skills.
• Ability to operate standard office equipment and type a minimum of 40 wpm is preferred.
• Attention to detail and ability to multi-task, prioritize, and work well both individually and as part of a team.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality of information.

Nice To Haves

• Experience in a medical office setting.
• Familiarity with insurance and financial policies.

Responsibilities

• Schedule and coordinate patient appointments via phone following company protocols and physician schedule templates.
• Explain insurance and financial policies when scheduling appointments.
• Provide excellent customer service to all incoming callers by answering phones promptly and professionally.
• Accurately document patient concerns and maintain physician schedules.
• Ensure that all patients are scheduled properly and appointments are confirmed.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
